When we lived on Cape Cod, we had a revolving door of visitors coming and going. But one of the best visits I had was with Rita and Debbie. Here we are before we boarded the Grey Lady ferry to Nantucket for a day trip. Those southern gals found their sea legs, and we had a great time playing "tourist" on that beautiful, fairy-tale island.
Seems to me we also took a whale watching trip and had some good food and lots of girl-talk while they were there. I also remember that Deb could tell that the sheets on their bed had been line-dried, something I did because I loved the way they smelled when they were hung outside in the ocean breeze.
It goes down in my book as one of the nicest family times ever, and I hope this photo brings back some good memories to Rita and Debbie too.

Oh my gosh, Nan! I had no idea you had this picture. Debbie and I have always cherished the memories of this visit with you on "Old Cape Cod"! It was wonderful to have that special time with you (and George); plus giving Debbie and me a Mother-Daughter Get- Away; it was a wonderful trip for us, and then to be able to actually go on a whale watch was just awesome!!! Debbie has sea legs anyway, and could spend her life taking care of those sea creatures :) Even though it was freezing out on the ocean, it was a once in a lifetime experience for us; and we thank you so much.
We will never forget how beautiful Cape Cod was!!
You and Deb look so cute in this photo! It was so much fun. I'm glad I had a chance to live there, even though it was just for 3 1/2 years.
That does sound fun. And a great photo of all three of you. I'm jealous! Lois and Libby are next and it doesn't have to be Cape Cod. West Virginia sounds good to me! :)
My libbyllama has climbed onto Ajax Rock! Yippee!!! And we will descend on Nanny one day, that's for sure! :)
Bring it on, I say!
