On days like this I feel the need to take a step back and breathe. I have this unfortunate habit of overworking myself and on days like this it comes through quite clearly. After I got up at seven thirty and did some homework I played a game with my brother I got in my paint clothes and treked to the high school at eleven o'clock. I am currently stage-managing the play 'You Can't Take It With You' as well as helping the set. The show goes on on Thursday and the pressure is mounting.
There was something frantic about the tech room as we built and painted for seven and a half hours today, complaining about dirty brushes and naming colors things like 'bumnugget' (a name that suits the color well.) I spent half my day on a fourteen foot ladder (even though I'm scared of heights) only to find out that what I was doing was wrong and un-necesary.
I then came to complete havoc with Elliot and Ezra running around like crazy people and Amitai and Allison trying to find some quiet while my mom sprays Olivia with water everytime she is annoying. And here I am, in the midst of it all, writing this, because this is my world and strangely enough, I fit in just right here.

It actually sounds like a very fun life, Cecilia, craziness and all. Well, maybe even because of the craziness. :)
I sure wish I could picture "bumnugget." ;)
Among all the things about you that I love and admire, it's your ability to just be -- the quality I call being "intact," no matter the circumstances. I could see it even when you were tiny, and I remember thinking that you were the miniature adult, the one "in charge." It's a gift!
P.S. I just had to find an image for you! Hee hee. If you don't like this one, we'll find another one. ;)
i love the picture.

Homework, bah humbug!! You're smart enough already and you tell 'em your Aunt Loweezy/Lois says you get out of doing it! ;) (But something tells me you probably actually LIKE it, you smart stinker!)
