Left to right: John, Rita, Dad, Mom, Nan and DonA quarter of a century ago, this is how six of the seven of us in the Simpkins family looked. Holy hair! Don looks like he is in the witness protection program or trying out for a bit part in "Deliverance," and I clearly was trying for the country-western singer look. I think Lois was bushy-haired then, even though she was missing in this picture.
This was taken at Mom's and Dad's 50th wedding anniversary in 1982, and notice how dark and bushy Peck's hair still was when he was almost 70 years old.
John, of course, always looks the very same, and Rita hasn't changed much either.
This one is posted for fun, just so we can remember "when."
