The Class Prophecy of The Class of 1931 for Roena Shafer

"While I was at the hotel I received a telegram from the former Roena Shafer telling me she was planning to have a reunion for the class of '31, at her home in Flint Michigan. And that we would be welcome to stay as long as we liked. How like the old Roena. We are all very proud of Roena, she has the distinction of having been granted more degrees than any other woman. She can write AB, MA, PHD, LLD, BA, and others after her name."

Projected date of this prophecy was the spring of 1941, while "Pete" was vacationing in Maine. Pete thanked Morpheus for what he revealed to her in a short dream she experiened.

Now that I have read the entry before this one, I know the context of this prophecy. Wow. Mom was certainly the shining star, wasn't she? Nobody has ever written something like that about me, but if anyone deserved it, it was Roena Elizabeth Shafer.

Where did you find this?

Imagine, in another time, how different her life might've been. Well, we all know we got our book brains from Mom and our savvy from Dad. I have often wished Mom could've lived the life of a "lady" instead of washerwoman to the 5+Dad of us, but I see that her classmates imagined her not so much as the "lady" as the scholar! :)
Oh, Rita, I'm soooo grateful to you for being enough like Momma to be digging through this stuff, piece by piece, finding these treasures even though I know it's hard on you! (But it would be impossible, I know, for you to do it any other way!)

I cannot just get rid of Mom's and Dad's little treasures without going through all of it; which will take all year!
And I will keep memories :)
