One week and counting

I can see George W. Bush in my rearview mirror.

Hallelujah!

I don't see how I can stay home, no matter what. Gotta' be there.

That's why I feel like I have to go -- to just be on the streets with all the people celebrating -- even if I can't see a thing. I've made a plan that I think will get me to the Lincoln Memorial in time to see the swearing in on a Jumbotron. Then I'll make tracks out of town while the parade is going on so I don't get trapped like a rat. I just can't not go.

Go, Nan, Go! It will be the experience of a lifetime and what we've all been voting for - this time SUCCESSFULLY.I spent a good part of the day trying to figure out how to get there myself. I can't. but you..

And I've always regretted I was a bit too young to march against segregation and a bit too old for Woodstock.

The way I see it, the worst that can happen is that I'll be stuck in a crowd somewhere between here and D.C. and won't make it. Beats sitting here and wishing I were there.
