Those Theatre Kids...

So, here it goes, it is the end of the year, finals start next week and I was going through my computer and i found these. They are theatre pictures! for you all to see what i do during the yar i figured i would post them here. to warn you all before you look, some of these people are...strange...cooky, if you will. but they are my friends and here they are. (most of them are from the end of the year theatre party.)
Fiddler set
this is what i spent time doing earlier in the year. I helped to build this! It is the set for Fiddler on the Roof, which was the first play we put on this year and was TONS of fun to do. (plus, i met kevin during it, and kate met Derek.) it was a beautiful set when it was all done.
Hannah
the ever beautiful, always talented Hannah. She is a freshman, she and i have a FANTASTIC three years left together. she was in 'You Can't Take it With You' and was a main part in "I never sang for my father." she is wicked talented and i love the girl to death.
Parker
Parker Wilcox... a senior, he was in the festival play "i never sang for my father" he was the father, Tom. and while his character is a grumpy old man who is cruel and mean to his children, Parker is in fact, a sweetheart. I love Parker and I am going to miss him A LOT. Theatre won't be the same without him.
Steve
this is Steve. Steve is crazy. He is a freshman, does theatre, and is funny and outgoing and completely nuts. He is in a few of my classes and is just so darn funny!
Gillen and Matt
This is what we theatre kids do when we are bored.
Photobucket
again, what we do when we are bored.
Kevin
Kevin =]
Derek
this is Derek, kate' boyfriend...he is kind of a doofus.
Me and Kevin
The first actual picture i have of Kevin and me. At the end of the year theatre party on Thursday.
Tim, Barnaby, Bixby
I love this kid. This is Tim. He is a junior. He does tech and acts and is like a stagemanager's dream. He is always where he is supposed to be when he is supposed to be there. He is also hysterically funny and quite the character. He is holding our mascots, Barnaby and Bixby.
Hannah and Alyce
this is the last one.... this is Hannah and Alyce. Hannah is wonderfully amazing and Alyce is too! Alyce is a sophmore and does props and acts and is a wonderful singer. I love her!

I climbed up on Ajax Rock to take a rest, expecting it to be solitary, so imagine how this old lady felt to find herself crashing a party of wonderful kids who make my granddaughter so happy. Well, I didn't crash exactly, since you were nice enough to invite us in.

Kevin is adorable, and I love the picture of the two of you. Parker is handsome and looks like he's going somewhere -- in the theater, I mean. If he works as hard as you say, he will make it to the big time.

And isn't Hannah the one whose uncle owns Ellsworth Music in Shepherdstown? I ran into him at the C$O last week, and he confirmed that Helen is his niece and that he had been up there recently because one of his kids graduated from Tufts. I think he also said that Helen's brother will be performing at the Shepherdstown train station next week-end in a string quartet from your high school. Will you verify that?

Good luck on your finals. Summer will fly by, and let's talk later in the week. I'm in one of my non-communicative moods. Hugs and kisses to you.

Helen's uncle,
Hannah is a different girl.
But equally amazing.
Parker is quite handsome, isn't he?
I wish I had pictures of Ben.
He isn't so terrible looking himself.
I love Parker. I'm going to miss him and his rubix cube.

I'm quite smitten with Kevin, yes, he is adorable.
Although those are the only two pictures that he didn't squint in.

I really really really like the guy.
he makes me giggle.
I'm glad you enjoyed entering my world for a bit.
did you like the set? isn't it just beautiful?

The shot of you levitating is amazing. Theater kids know all the good tricks.

I was a theater kid-- and I was the ballerina in "you can't take it with
you!"
To see Cecilia (and to know that they're still doing that God-forsaken play)
Was the thrill of my Sunday. :)

For a moment, I thought my mom was declaring herself a theater kid, and a ballerina at that! I almost choked on my raisin bran! For the record, I played the sheep in "The Little Red Hen" in 4th grade and I was AWESOME!!! I had two lines - "Is that bread I smell?" and "Baaa". Like I said, it was brilliant.

Kevin is adorable, and I am glad to see his sleeve is covering his hand in the one where you are holding hands. We wount want any flesh to flesh contact. now would we?

Your friends look like a lot more fun than the friends I had in high school.

Chinchilla, are you going to be here in August for the birth of the mini-Mitchy? Please say yes....

Sorry to say my hand was inside the sleeve.
YES i will be there after the birth of little Laurie/Daddy.
Patti was Essie!? I love Essie!
(I know the whole play by heart)
And Johnny, just so you know, niether of the crazy levetating people are me.
They are Squirrel (long story on the name) and Bobby. =]

I think you and all your friends look like wonderful, talented, and precious people.
I'm glad you've all found each other and the theater. What could be better?

Thank You,
we have fun and get along,
and i guess that is all that matters.

I can state with pride that Bethy's theater debut as a sheep was stellar. The pride I felt brought me to tears. The "BAAA" was a prophesy of the days to come when she would be the proud owner of two Aussies -- yes, that same breed that herds those dumb sheep. Sniff.

And I am just a little hurt that my VERY OWN DAUGHTER would choke on her raisin bran at the mere thought that I might have been, once, a star of the stage.

The mini-Mitchy already has a box of toys at his granny's house. Soon he will have a drawer like his sister Cecilia once did.

Sorry to say Grandma,
but I read the post three times in astonishment before I saw that it was from Patti.
I was a Santa's Elf once and a French Dancer.
then I decided to get my butt off stage.

I knew your acting career was doomed after I had to listen to you sing "Jellystone" over and over again and the beach. I didn't have the heart to tell you, I just knew...
;)

Cecilia said...

What? You didn't like "jellystone"
gosh, that was my favorite!
finals start Thursday!
wish me luck

As a late arrival at this party (thanks to a defunct ISP over the weekend), I'll just add that I have nothing to add that one of you hasn't said well already!! ;)

Good luck on those finals but I don't think luck plays much of a part in it and I have NO doubt in my mind that you'll fly through them and on into summer! :)
