In another life...the rest of the story

For those of you who are rolling your eyes at the mere notion that Mr. Foyle or Michael Kitchen could have been in love with me in another life, I want to clarify that it's not my 61-year-old Nannygoat self that might win him over. Rather, it is a long-ago version of the present-day me: Nanny at about 33 years old, shown here.

Beth likes this picture of her mom at about the age she, Beth, is now. It's not a worn-out mom but a sort of sexy, come-hither mom.

And I ask you, what other daughter would believe that this woman might, indeed, capture the heart of Mr. Foyle?

Thanks for the vote of confidence, daughter-girl. Methinks that Mr. Foyle would be shocked at such a come-on, but who understands what makes men tick?

That's the funny thing about aging- we have all of the ages we've ever been inside us.
Your 33-year old is certainly a lovely woman.

Oh, Woman. Mr. Foyle would be all over you -- even now!! ;) And why have you kept that photo hidden?? It's GREAT!! :)

I love that picture. I have it framed in my house. At first I was surprised that you were able to find it after I mentioned it, but then I realized I wasn't surprised at all. Things are always where they should be at your house. I lost my keys this AM and later found them in the bread basket. Stranger, even, that I thought to look in the bread basket. Anyhow, I digress.

I like this picture not because it is sexy, but because it is apparent that you felt sexy in it. Quite a feat when you have three gnarly little kids hanging from you all the time. And feeling sexy is all it really takes to be sexy. Plus, you just look so darn cute in it.

I am pretty sure, but the way, that I DO know what makes men tick. Trust me, you don't want to know. Maybe I will tell you when you are older.

Ms. Moon, thank you. What's really wonderful is allowing those long-ago versions to live fully, no matter what our age in calendar years, no?

Loie, I didn't "hide" it. I'm an INFJ, so it's not like I would post it on Eye Spy (though it probably would generate business, just not the kind I'm looking for). More the siren than the goddess, don't you think?

And my Bethy, how did you get so wise? Your keys were in the bread basket because your mind is on much more important things -- ponderous things, not superficial ones. How I love you, my INFP child!

And one more thing, Beth, you're right that some things are best kept a mystery. If I'm 61 and don't know, why spoil things now. Tell me when I'm ready to escape the bonds of this world. It will make me more eager to go, right?

Nan, I've never seen this picture either! It is a darling picture of you, the color of your dress is very complimentary.

Where do all the years go???

The above comment is from your sister-don't know why it came up anonymous.
btw: your brother-in-law says you were and still are a very sharp looking woman!

Rita Ann,

Thank you. And give Don a sisterly peck on the cheek, if you will.

Time for a catch-up call soon. I'm buried but will make time for my sister when I can enjoy the sound of her voice and relax a bit.
